For nearly forty years, I taught observational drawing at Indiana University. My classes successfully helped beginners learn essential drawing techniques. Those who dedicated themselves to the course left feeling confident and unafraid of drawing. I've distilled the semester-long curriculum into this forty page handbook. While it doesn’t allow students to practice the lessons over an extended timeframe, it does introduce all the fundamental concepts along with useful exercises.
